July Update

Dear wonderful PMCH family,

Happy July to you all! Hasn’t June been amazing for getting out and about and enjoying this beautiful corner of the world we call home? We really have so much to be thankful for.

I’m especially grateful for the avalanche of chocolate that followed last month’s message—37 bars of Galaxy was far beyond what I imagined! Careful rationing strategies are now in place to see me through the months ahead (with varying degrees of self-control).

As we continue our Sunday morning journey through the life of Joseph, I’ve been struck again by how powerfully his story speaks into our own as a church right now. In Genesis 41, Joseph moves from a forgotten prisoner to Pharaoh’s right-hand man—not in an instant, but through years marked by silence, setbacks, and slow, unseen preparation. All the while, God was at work—quietly, faithfully, perfectly.

That’s a truth I hope sinks deep into our hearts. In this season of transition, it might feel like we’re in a holding pattern—especially as we await news of a new Superintendent minister. But perhaps, like Joseph, we’re not stuck; we’re being shaped. God is preparing us—even now—for what lies ahead. His timing hasn’t slipped. His plan hasn’t stalled. And He certainly hasn’t forgotten us.

In fact, we’re continually seeing signs of His faithfulness in the waiting: in those who’ve stepped up to lead; in the new faces joining our church; and in the deepening faith I sense in so many of you. So, let’s keep praying. Let’s keep preparing. And let’s keep trusting that God’s timing is as perfect now as it was in Pharaoh’s court.

As always, I’m so thankful for you—your prayers, your patience, your laughter, and your faithful presence in the life of our church. Let’s keep encouraging one another as we look ahead with hope.

With every blessing,

Jonny
