February Update

Hello wonderful people

Thank you for taking a moment to read this. I know that among those of you who do, there will be different levels of connection and engagement with the life of PMCH. Wherever you find yourself, I want you to know how deeply grateful I am for the wonderful community we share within our church family.

It brings me such joy to see how God is working in and through PMCH. It’s amazing to witness the growth—not just in numbers but in the beautiful diversity of people who are becoming a part of our journey together. I often have the privilege of looking out from the stage and seeing the joy on so many faces, a joy that flows beyond Sunday mornings and touches every day of the week.

As we continue to connect with people and grow in community, it’s so important to keep our purpose at the forefront of everything we do. This has been a key reminder for us as we’ve been walking through the Gospel of John in our current series—a study that will carry us through to Easter.

If you’ve joined us for a Sunday service or Bible study, I hope the reason why John wrote his gospel has been etched on your mind. As John states near the end of his account:

“Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” John 20:30-31

This is why we exist as a church—to present who Jesus is and to offer the life He so freely gives. If something we’re doing doesn’t reflect that purpose, then perhaps it’s time to reevaluate.

Let’s continue to make Him the centre of all we do, in every ministry, every gathering, and every act of love.

Hope that you have a blessed day

Jonny

Romania Christmas Box Update

Well what can I say, but a massive thank you for your tremendous support for the Christmas Box Appeal.  Through your generosity we raised £1468 for the children of Tarlengeni and Zizin, Romania.  Hopefully, the love of Christ will have shone brightly to those children and families this Christmas through the kindness of others.

Wonderfully, Alina, our friend and leader of the Mission Houses, was able to secure some extra support from a local American school in Brasov towards the appeal.  Parents and children of the school provided toys etc for the 230 children.  Therefore, PMCH's donation was put directly to buying hats, scarves, socks, gloves and chocolate for the children and some food treats for the families.  Alina tells me, that it is really cold in Romania and so I am sure these clothing items are being used and appreciated right now.  I'm sure the chocolate is long gone!!!

A quick head's up - we hope to launch this year's appeal early in the Autumn term 2025 - to allow the team in Romania to plan in advance.

Thanks again!

Helen Norton

Welcome Area Refurbishment

The building team have done an absolutely amazing job on the new welcome area and painted it in record time! Soon we will be able to fully open it back up and we’re looking forward to using it on Sundays and throughout the week.
