September Update
Dear Friends,
I hope you’re having a good summer. September for many is seen as a month of new beginnings. For those of you with children, I hope you’ve managed to get good deals on their new shoes, or if you’re like my family you’ve simply managed to remember this is something that needs to be done!
On the day you receive this email PMCH will launch a 5-week series on Sundays looking at some of the great prayers contained within Scripture. In our evening service, Paul Smith has this verse within the prayer he will preach on, ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine, according to his power that is work within us, to him be glory...’
For the knowledgeable Methodists amongst us, you’ll know that September marks the beginning our year too. I’m so grateful that we already have an amazing team of people who serve incredibly. Is there a team you’d like to consider joining as we serve our God, each other and the community around us? As we look at the year ahead, can we be courageous in what we ask for and may we have the faith to accept that God may want to work within us in ways beyond our imagination.
Thank you so much for being part of the journey.
Jonny

Foodbank Sunday
Thank you to everyone who donated items at our August collection. We'll be back on 29 September at our morning and evening services. The items we are asking people to bring along this month are toiletries and breakfast cereals
Events
The Foodbank Hub have some new events for families including Hairlicious - learning how to do your child’s hair and arts & craft groups. You can find out more and book your place HERE
Gifts for Romania
This year's team for Romania have been asked to take out skipping ropes and a large play parachute for the Mission centre, where we will be running children's activities. Rather than take them with us we want to buy them there, so as many of you kindly contribute money each year we go, we would welcome donations to help pay for these things.
Any money we take with us is used directly for what FAST charity need for their work. Helena and Nigel will be around to chat about the visit on Sunday. The team will be travelling out on the 8th September.
