February Update
Dear friends,
Last Sunday, as we continued our journey in Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, we were reminded of those two little words that say so much: “But God…” They’re a good reminder that church life isn’t about busy diaries or good intentions, but about God’s grace at work among us.
Ten minutes ago, I was looking something up in the church calendar for the week beginning Monday 9th February and found myself both smiling and slightly panicking at just how much is happening at PMCH. That one week includes the continuation of Alpha, youth and adult Bible studies, alongside all our regular activities. Our building will be used by U3A, a healthcare group, and Barnardo’s. The MIWB committee will be meeting, the organ has a maintenance visit booked, and work begins on refurbishing the DC men’s toilets. Our youth will be heading off for a Bible teaching weekend away, Soft Play will be hosting a party, the Foodbank, DC, and SPC will welcome hundreds, we’ll be providing and serving food for the Soup Run, and to start the next week, over 200 of us will gather on Sunday to worship together. All this in the quiet month of February (and not everything that happens has even been mentioned!).
I am so thankful for our staff team and the many volunteers who quietly (some are a bit louder!) and faithfully make so much happen. As Paul reminds us, “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10), and I see that verse lived out in so many ways across our church week by week.
As you read on below, I hope you’ll be encouraged by all that’s going on and perhaps take a moment to thank God for it. Could I ask you to pause and pray for at least one of the things listed above? May God bless you and add his blessing to our mission and ministry at PMCH.

We’re also very pleased to confirm that Leanne will be staying on as Admin & Finance Officer. After doing a fantastic job over the past year, she is now joining the team as a permanent member of staff.
