Family Occasions
At PMCH we recognise how special big family occasions are and so we offer a range of options to help you celebrate or mark a significant occasion.
Thanksgiving & Baptism
After the birth of a child it is often a natural instinct to want to mark the babies appearance with a ceremony of gratitude and celebration. We offer thanksgiving services, very similar to ‘Christenings’, where we invite parents and godparents/supporters to thank God for the gift of a new child and make commitments to caring for and nurturing this child. These take place during our morning services at 11am on Sundays.
We believe baptism is most appropriate for those who have come to believe in Jesus for themselves and made a conscious choice to follow Him in everyday life. If that is you and you want to express that in a service of baptism, then we would love to speak to you!
There are no fees for thanksgivings or baptisms
Weddings
We offer a personal, tailored wedding service that enables you to celebrate with loved ones and welcome people to hold their wedding here from all sorts of backgrounds. We offer a marriage service rooted in the Christian tradition that includes prayers, songs and Bible readings. For more information and the costs for weddings, contact the church office here.
Funerals
We offer a personal and individual service to celebrate the lives of those who have died. We offer a service of Christian prayer and reflection, that includes Bible readings and songs to anyone who would wish to hold their funeral here. If you wish to hold a funeral service at PMCH, please first contact your funeral director and ask them to make the necessary arrangements with us.
Our cafe’s on site mean that we are occasionally able to offer refreshments and a space to catch up with friends after each of these services. For more information and prices please contact the church office here.
